Zurich Insurance company has launched a new insurance module that offers insurance against any kind of damage caused due to car software hacking.
The new car insurance supplementary module Cyber Attack covers the costs if
- Cyber attack damages or destroys your car software.
- Your vehicle becomes unusable as a result of hacking or is restricted in its function.
- The software or control unit of your car must be restored.
As the world is advancing and the future vehicle framework most being based on various software, the risk of cyber attacks is also increasing. And coming up with this insurance idea in this situation seems to be a great idea and must be adopted by other countries as well.
