New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 27, 2022) follows:
With somewhere around 1.4 billion users, Instagram is the fourth most used social media platform worldwide, just behind Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp.
Unsurprisingly, it is also the fifth most visited website in the world, averaging 6.6 billion visits per month. It also happens to be a hotspot for influencers.
Having said that, Instagram users are now complaining that they are seeing old posts on their feed. Many are furious since they are unable to see the latest posts from the people they follow (1,2,3,4,5).
While we are yet to come across any official word from Instagram on the matter, there are some workarounds that might help fix the problem.
Users can try tapping on the Instagram logo and selecting ‘Following’ to see posts from people they follow in chronological order.
You can also try clearing the app data and cache to see if it helps. In case the issue persists, log out of Instagram and back in again. Last but not the least, try refreshing the feed by swiping it down to see if it helps.
We hope Instagram developers will shed some light on the issue where some users are seeing old posts on their feed and fix it as soon as possible.
Rest assured, we will be keeping tabs on the issue and update this space as and when required so make sure you keep checking PiunikaWeb.
