Information and Broadcasting Ministry orders suspension of controversial deodorant advertisement. An inquiry is being held as per the advertising code.

Can’t find the ad online but here it is, apparently being played during the match. I didn’t see it till @hitchwriter showed it to me

Who are the people making these ads really? pic.twitter.com/zhXEaMqR3Q

One of the most prevalent ways that brands try to market and sell their products is by sexualizing them. Brands have been able to pull out such commercials in a short period of time. The recent advertisement for the body spray Layer’s Shot appeared to have gone beyond all bounds.

One of their commercials, which will be broadcast on SonyLiv during the first Test match between England and New Zealand, has sparked outrage on social media. When the guy’s pals enter the room, the commercial depicts a couple sitting in a bedroom.

“Shot mara?” one of the friends inquires. “Haan mara na,” he responds when asked if he took the shot. (I did it.)” “Ab hamari baari hai,” he says, folding his sleeve. (It’s now our turn.)” The girl is surprised and perplexed by their chat, and only breathes a sigh of relief as her buddy moves to retrieve the Shot deodorant bottle off the room’s shelf.

How does this kind of ads get approved, sick and outright disgusting. Is @layerr_shot full of perverts? Second ad with such disgusting content from Shot.@monikamanchanda pic.twitter.com/hMEaJZcdmR
