On Wednesday, the Maharastra government announced that a music academy will be built in remembrance of the Mythical singer Lata Ji. On 6 February, the Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92. Lata Mangeshkar passed away due to covid-19 related complications. The singer’s last rituals were performed at Shivaji Park Mumbai on Sunday evening. Many politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharastra Cheif Minister Uddav Thackery were present, many Bollywood celebrities namely, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan were also present to pay their last tribute to Lata Tai.
Meanwhile, a few days back Bhartiya Janta Party MLA Ram Kadam had requested Maharastra Cheif Minister to dedicate a memorial to the late singer.
Reportedly the museum will be built in the Kalina Campus of Mumbai University. On Monday, the Madhya Pradesh administration declared to set up a music academy and a museum in the memory of veteran artist Lata Mangeshkar at her birthplace, Indore. A monument of the singer will also be inducted in Indore. Along with these, a state award will be named after the late Lata Mangeshkar, which would be given to the artist on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
