Google India has released its ‘Year in Search’ findings, detailing the country’s top search trends for 2021. Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, who has been in the headlines for over a month following his detention by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has been the second most searched person in India on Google in 2021.

Aryan Khan first made headlines in October, when the NCB apprehended him after a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Khan was also held at Arthur Road jail for a few weeks before being released on bond at the end of October. Aryan has remained in the news because, as part of his bail conditions, he is obligated to report to the NCB office in Mumbai every Friday.

When it comes to the most searched celebrities on Google India, Aryan Khan is second only to Olympic gold winner Neeraj Chopra. At the Tokyo Olympics, the 23-year-old athlete won a gold medal in the javelin throw, ending India’s 100-year drought for an Olympic medal in athletics.

Vicky Kaushal, who has been in the news for the success of Sardar Udham and his wedding to Katrina Kaif, was also among the most searched for.
