Humble Bundle has become a well-known facet of the modern gaming industry, with the organization’s monthly packages offering players a wide variety of games with a flexible pricing plan and donating proceeds from the sales to charity. The organization frequently features high-profile AAA games like Borderlands 3 and features multiple bundles each month, catering to different players’ tastes and benefiting different charitable associations. Now, the Epic Games Store has partnered with Humble Bundle to bring players a selection of games from the popular marketplace.
The Epic Games Store is no stranger to giving fans spectacular deals to entice potential customers onto the platform and away from competitors like Steam and Origin. The service features a regular rotation of free games allowing players to claim a new game each week, such as last week’s Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Alongside securing big-name exclusives like Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s PC version, Epic Games recently debuted a new promotion in tandem with Humble Bundle to celebrate the Humble app launching in the Epic Games Store, featuring plenty of games at affordable prices.
The Epic Games Store Celebration launched early Thursday and will continue through February 24, with proceeds from the bundle benefiting the NAACP, a legal organization “fighting for racial justice.” The bundle features three different pricing tiers starting at just $1 and including the top-down open world action game Shakedown: Hawaii. Interested fans who are willing to pay the full $15 price for the maximum bundle will receive seven games in total, including major games like Saints Row: The Third Remastered and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
Humble Bundle has made major news in recent months as the popular storefront entering its eleventh year announced major changes to come to the Humble platform. Humble announced that the popular Humble Choice program, allowing players to pick and choose games, would be changing to a flat pay rate rather than multiple tiers of pricing. Humble also announced the launch of its own proprietary app, serving as a game launcher and granting its users access to the Humble Games Collection as part of the Humble Choice package.
The new collaboration with Humble Bundle is just the most recent of the Epic Games Store’s ambitious start to 2022. The growing storefront is nearing the 200 million users milestone and the platform has already featured some major titles through its weekly free games program, between the previously mentioned Yooka-Laylee and ringing in the new year with the modern Tomb Raider trilogy. With free games set to continue at least through the end of the year and more major exclusives like Sloclap’s Sifu set to hit the store as exclusives, 2022 is looking to be a strong year for Epic Games.
