HBO Max is now utilising a curious marketing tactic after House of the Dragon attracted a record number of viewers for its premiere and only increased for episode two. They have released the whole of the premiere, “The Heirs of the Dragon,” on their Youtube channel for everyone in the USA to watch free without any charge.
You must watch the video directly on YouTube as it is age- and region-restricted to the United States. The first episode of HBO Max is still being freely shared on HBO’s official YouTube channel with an amazing amount of people in spite of these limitations. The video was posted at night in the United States at the time of writing, and it has quickly risen in popularity and received a large number of views.
House of the Dragon is mostly based on the Westeros mythology that George R.R. Martin built in order to improve the narrative for A Song of Ice and Fire. It is inspired in part by books by the author of the novel series of the same name. The focus of the drama series, which takes place about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, is the Targaryen House’s protracted rule before House Baratheon assumed control of the Iron Throne. The Targaryen ruling dynasty is introduced in the first episode, “The Heirs of the Dragon,” which also details their conflict over who will succeed them as occupants of the Iron Throne.
