- The screen will show a grey and white button on the screen.
- Go back to Settings -> General.
- Scroll down the page to the end and tap “Shut Down”.
- You will get the “Slide to Power off” button with the “Cancel” button at the bottom.
- Now, you have to tap on the “Assistive Touch” button. Then press and hold the Home Button until your phone will go to Home Screen.
- That’s it. This is the way to refresh your iPhone.
Steps to Speed Up your iPhone:
Method 1: Disable Background App Refresh
The main culprit of this issue is turning on Background App Refresh. It will take your phone’s memory to refresh the app constantly and also it leads to a battery draining issue. That’s why I am telling you to turn off this Background App Refresh.

Method 2: Update all Apps
Sometimes our phone will be slow when we not updating apps to the latest version. Every user should update the apps when new updates available. If not, this is one of the reasons why your phone is slow. Don’t delay updating your apps. Go to App Store and update the apps.
Method 3: Turn Off Reduce Motion
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- And tap on “General”.
- Then click “Accessibility”.
- Tap “Reduce Motion”.
- Now turn off Reduce Motion.
Method 4: Clear iMessage
If you save Messages for a year, then it takes more space for it. So, you will become function slowly. Clearing messages is one of the best ways to speed up your iPhone. In Settings, you have to select “30 Days” which will delete the messages every after 30 days. To do this,

- Tap “Messages”.
- Now, tap “Keep Messages” under Message History.
- There you can see three options that 30 Days, 1 Year, and Forever.
- If you have selected “Forever”, then select “30 Days”. Why you select this option is to speed up your slow iPhone.
- This option will keep your Message only for 30 days and then it deletes the Message automatically.
Method 5: Clear Safari Cookies
- Navigate the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap “Safari”.
- Tap “Clear History and Website Data”.
Method 6: Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings -> General -> Reset.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter your passcode if prompted.
- Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

- Tap “Location Services” and turn it off for some apps.
