He a detailed letter Akshay Kumar explained that he is still against doing ads for tobacco companies. He said the ad that he did was for Vimal Elalichi, not any tobacco products.

Akshay Kumar in a brief statement made on the internet said that he will be donating the complete fees earned for this vimal ad. Akshay Kumar was trolled on Social Media for doing an ad for such a brand that sells tobacco products.
Some users started promoting his old video in which he was seen talking against the tobacco companies. He even went on the record to say that these companies offer a good amount of money to him but he still doesn’t want to do those types of ads.
But when the video of him came out doing an ad for Vimal, all hell broke loose. He was being criticized on social media for being a hypocrite. That he first criticized these companies and is now taking money to promote their brand.
