In 2017, Apple jumped in on the smart home niche and introduced their first-ever smart speaker called HomePod. However, it was released in February of 2018.
That being said, Apple has released several iterations of the HomePod with the latest one being the HomePod Mini. But many users are now saying that their HomePod is getting dumber thanks to the iOS 15 update.
Some have even complained about popping noises coming out of their HomePod following which their devices go quiet.
Now, HomePod owners are reporting that they are getting an error when trying to login into the Home app. Many said that they entered their they are getting a ‘Your Apple ID or Password is incorrect’ message.
Reports suggest that the issue surfaced after users upgraded to iOS 15.2. Users said they tried logging in a few times, but the error pops up randomly.
Unfortunately, resetting HomePod and reinstalling the Home app does not solve the problem. HomePod owners are frustrated by the issue and are wondering what they can do to fix it.
However, some users have shared some workarounds that might help fix the HomePod login error. The first one involves logging in to the Apple Music app.
Others say that the problem is caused because the iOS 15.2 update messed up location prompts for some. Some users say that re-enabling location services fixed the issue for them.
