Here’s the crux of the article in video form:
Developed by Smilegate RPG and Tripod Studio, Lost Ark is one of the most popular MMOARPG titles. Built using Unreal Engine 3, it was released in Europe and the Americas earlier this year.
While the game focuses primarily on PvE elements like exploration, crafting, and hunting, players can also indulge in PvP combat.
While both players and critiques have praised the gameplay, technical glitches like bots overloading servers and long queue times have been troubling many in the last couple of months.
And as if they weren’t enough, Lost Ark players are now reportedly getting ‘EAC Offline’ and ‘EAC Failed to Start the game Error: 10011’ message when trying to connect to the game server.
It is interesting to note that the error was fixed in a past update but has now resurfaced after the July 6 update. Players have tried restarting their machine and the game but the disconnection issue persists.
As it turns out, Lost Ark developers are aware of the problem and said it is currently under investigation.
Also, we came across a bunch of workarounds that might help fix the EAC Offline and Error 10011 message. The first workaround requires users to uninstall Steam and reinstall it along with the game on the C drive.
If this did not fix the problem, try renaming NVIDIA’s PhysX installation folder since it is reportedly resolving the issue for some.
We hope Lost Ark developers soon find out why many players are getting EAC Offline error messages and fix it at the earliest. Rest assured, we will be updating this space as and when required so stay tuned.
