Julie Dawn Cole, an English author, singer, and former actress was born on October 26, 1957. In the 1971 film, she debuted as a child actor. Cole was brought up in Guildford, Surrey.

Cole was just twelve years old when she was chosen for the supporting role in the project’s pre-production stage during the first half of 1970, which was shot at the Bavaria Film Studios.

The movie originally appeared on June 30, 1971, in New York City, and the following week, in London. Cole was chosen to give Princess Margaret a bouquet of flowers at the Royal Premiere. She developed an infatuation with Peter Ostrum (Charlie Bucket), another American, along with Willy Wonka’s other pre-adolescent “leading lady,” Denise Nickerson (Violet Beauregarde).
