Actor Abhishek Bachchan is celebrating his 46th birthday today on February 5. Several celebrities and fans have sent their love to the actor on social media platforms.

Abhishek Bachchan has also made an announcement regarding his upcoming movie, Ghoomer, on his birthday. He captioned it, “Can’t ask for a better birthday present! Birthdays are best spent, working. घूमर Now spinning!”

On his birthday, we are sharing some of the facts about the actor.

He was born to the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan on February 5, 1976. He is an actor and producer in the Hindi film industry. He completed his schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School. He went to Boston College but could not finish it. So, he decided to make his debut in the Bollywood film industry.

He made his debut in 2000 as a male lead in the film Refugee opposite Kareena Kapoor. The actor has received praise from the audience and criticised his critics. Although this J.P Dutta’s film performed moderately well, his acting was appreciated. It is often said that he is living up to his father’s name.

In 2001, he played a cameo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. However, the shot was removed later from the movie. He was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor after his role in the 2003 movie Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. However, the film was a big flop at the Box Office. In 2004, he worked in Mani Ratnam’s political drama, Yuva. He was featured in one of the hits, Dhoom, in 2004, which starred several actors, including John Abraham, Esha Deol, Uday Chopra. He also appeared in Naach and Phir Milenge in the same year.

In 2007, Bachchan was married to the Indian actress Aishwarya Bachchan. The couple always remains active on social media platforms. In 2011, Aishwarya Rai gave birth to a daughter.

He made his appearance in a crime comedy, Bunty Aur Babli and other movies like Dus and Bluffmaster the following year. In 2006, he worked in Karan Johar’s romantic drama Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna, successful at the Box Office. Bachchan later appeared in several movies, including Umraao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, Jhoom Barabar, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Sarkar Raj, Drona, Delhi-6, Paa. He also entered the producing industry from Paa, which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.

Since 2010, he has appeared in several other movies, including  Raavan, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Game, Dum Maaro Dum and Players. However, they did not play well at the Box Office. In 2012, he appeared in Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan, which was successful at the Box Office. He earned several awards for this movie. He also appeared in the Dhoom franchise, Dhoom 3, opposite Katrina Kaif. This movie was considered the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. Later, he appeared in several movies, including Happy New Year, All is Well, Housefull 3, Manmarziyaan, Ludo.

The actor will now be seen in his upcoming Bob Biswas and has recently announced his next big Ghoomer.
