During her interview with Anuradha Chaudhary she was questioned about earning more than her male co-stars on which she answered by saying, ” Often, I’m willing to let go of work because I know how much other people are getting paid. People try to short-change you. I’m confident enough to say no to a film, an endorsement or even an appearance. I’m not doing this for me. I’m doing this because I’d like to pave the way for the generations that’ll follow. Someone has to take this head on. I’m happy to do that.”

Deepika also shared her about Covid and lockdown experience with Anupama Chopra and said, “I felt that when I had the illness it was still okay but after that, I needed to take two months off work because my mind wasn’t working. The phase for me was very, very difficult.”
