Recently I heard a news about iPhone that iPhone XS and XS Max Headphone not working after an update. I know this is a big issue. Many iPhone users have been searching solution for this problem. In this article, I am going to tell you how to fix headphones not working on iPhone XS, XR and XS Max. I make sure that these solutions will solve your problem.

Solution 1: Clean the Headphone Port of your Phone Before inserting a headphone jack to your iPhone port, clean the port. Because it has dust, dirt or debris. Using some cotton or pin to clean the port. After that, try to insert a headphone into your iPhone port and play any songs or video to check whether it’s working or not. Solution 2: Restart your Phone

  • Press the Power Button and either Volume Up or Down Button until getting a power off slider.
  • Then drag the slider to turn off your device.
  • Wait for 20 to 30 seconds.
  • To turn on your iPhone, press and hold the Power Button until getting an Apple Logo.

Solution 3: Check for Software Update

  • Go to Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Tap “General”.
  • Scroll down the page to find “Software Update”, tap on it.
  • If a new update is available, tap “Download and Install”.
  • Then follow the instruction to complete this process.

Solution 4: Force Restart your iPhone

  • Press Volume Up button and quickly release it.
  • Press Volume Down button and quickly release it.
  • Now, press and hold the Side/Power button until the Apple logo Appears.

Note: Don’t press the Volume Up and Volume Down button at the same time. Solution 5: Remove Connected Bluetooth Devices

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  • Tap “Bluetooth”.
  • There any device has connected to your iPhone through Bluetooth, then you won’t get sound from your Headphone which means that headphone not working.
  • So, select the connected device and forget it.

Solution 6: Reset All Settings

  • Launch Settings on your iPhone.
  • Tap “General”.
  • Tap “Reset”.
  • Select “Reset All Settings”.
  • Enter the passcode if prompted.
  • Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm this process.

Solution 7: Enable and Disable Airplane Mode

  • Open Settings app on our iPhone.
  • Here you can see “Airplane Mode” button, turn on it.
  • Wait for 20 to 30 seconds. After that turn it on back.
