HBO’s, upcoming TV series “The Last of Us” has put up the first official teaser today. The series is set to be released next year on HBO.

The anticipated TV series is based on the 2013 video game with the same title. The series will revolve around Joel to be played by Pedro Pascal, a smuggler assigned with the responsibility to escort Ellie to be played by Bella Ramsey, across the United States in a post-acopalytic scenario. It will also feature Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Joel’s younge brother. 

The series began its productions from July 2021 and wrapped up around June 2022. It was filmed in Calgary, Alberta. The series comes in as the first HBO series based on a game. Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions,  Naughty Dog, The Mighty Mint and Word Games is jointly producing this series. 

The series along with Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Gabriel Luna, features Merley Dandrige as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry and Anna Torv as Tess. 

Craig Mazin and Neil Druckman has written the debut season, which consists of ten episodes. Gustavo Santaolalla who produced the score in the game will also prouduce the score for the show. The first season is meant to be released in early 2023.
