Despite shooting a death scene for Larry David to conclude the previous season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the show and its star are nevertheless alive.
8 months after the final episode of season 11 of the series premiered on HBO, a 12th season has been confirmed. With David and his colleague executive producer Jeff Schaffer, the elite cable network has a fairly open-door policy; if and when they have concepts for a new season, HBO responds positively.
There is currently no information available regarding the launch date or premiere date of Curb’s upcoming 12th season. The series has 110 episodes and 11 seasons, making it HBO’s longest-running series.
“Larry outdoes himself season after season and always manages to come back when the audience needs him most,” HBO Programming executive VP Amy Gravitt said in a statement. “We’re thrilled for him, Jeff Schaffer, and our phenomenal cast to continue making us laugh and cringe in equal measure.”
David cites that the greatest honor of his life has been playing Larry David. He learned more about this multifaceted, multitalented man as he did his research on him: he speaks six languages, makes his own pickles, and is the driving force behind a nationwide campaign to put a bidet in every home. He is also said to be the most giving of lovers, according to a variety of sources. David just can’t wait to reappear as this powerful force of nature. He only hopes that can treat him fairly.
David stated “I’m not ready to go,” according to Schaffer, and they began writing fresh content after shooting a finale for season 11 wherein Larry meets his demise.
With Jeff Garlin as a co-star, David and Schaffer executively produced Curb Your Enthusiasm. Co-executive producers are Laura Streicher and Jennifer Corey.
