The second half of October is here, which means that Halloween and horror themed events are taking over everything from Pokemon GO to World of Warcraft. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players still need to get through one more regular weekend event before transitioning to the spooky season though.
The current 72 hour Wizarding World Convergence event offers players some additional incentives to do some walking and earn some steps this weekend, but not much else. The short Harry Potter Wizards Unite event does not feature any special tasks and rewards or the typical store bundle that similar events have featured in recent months.
Instead, this month’s special standalone Harry Potter Wizards Unite event offers players a chance to help fill in the Newt’s Menagerie, Circus Arcanus, and Paris Street registry pages full of Foundables that can currently only be earned by opening Portkeys. During the event window players can access a special 1km Portmanteau that rewards an exclusive 1920s Wizarding World Encounter.

Unlike Brilliant Events, this one is pretty straightforward and low key thanks to the lack of tasks and quests. That said, it actually does require players to get out and do a lot of walking around. Witches and wizards should look for opportunities to get out and moving around and to keep a Portkey activated as frequently as possible.
If any additional bonuses or rewards are revealed, we’ll be sure to post an update. Be sure to check back in the coming days for more Wizards Unite strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, keep your wands at the ready!
