Pushkar and Gayathri, who are also directing the Hindi version, wrote and directed Vikram Vedha, a 2017 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi played Vikram and Vedha, respectively, in the Tamil version, which also featured Shraddha Srinath and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
In the Hindi adaptation, Hrithik Roshan will reprise his role as Vijay Sethupathi, while Saif Ali Khan will play Madhavan. The film will be released on September 30, 2022, and will star Radhika Apte, among others. In addition to Fighter and Krrish 4, the actor has a number of other projects in the works.
