New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on June 21, 2022) follows:
Halo Infinite, the latest shooter in the Halo franchise, has been available for many months. It offers the player both a complete campaign mode and a multiplayer aspect (casual and ranked).
The multiplayer mode is what usually extends the useful life of these games for years. However, developers must have implemented high-quality servers and netcode to ensure the best possible experience.
Also, glitches that can be exploited to gain an advantage over other players should be fixed quickly before they break the game.
That said, there is currently a ‘battery exploit or glitch’ in Halo Infinite that allows players to become invulnerable to damage taken on recharge (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
Halo Infinite ‘battery exploit’ that makes players invincible
According to multiple reports, the exploit is breaking the game, since it is quite easy to execute and the advantage it produces is very large.
Basically, Halo Infinite players can make themselves invincible by standing on a battery and crouching in front of it. The glitch generates a kind of invisible shield against almost any weapon.
Everyone is abusing the invulnerability glitch on Recharge, there is literally a dozen Onyx 1900’s blatantly wall hacking, and a few straight up aim botting, and along with the broken matchmaking naturally pairing platinums and high onyxs together versus 4 low onyxs, high onyx’s are now queuing with smurfs for free wins to combat the free losses you get otherwise. How to deal with players who use the glitch
At the moment, there are only two ways to deal with players using the exploit. First, you can throw grenades until the shock-wave pushes them far enough away from the battery.
Also, it seems that the melee weapons damage still works correctly against those players. However, it is the most risky method since you will have to approach directly without the other player noticing.
Melee weapons do work, though, and deal full damage, so at least there’s a functional workaround. Source
343i team is already aware
Reports about the exploit have already reached the 343i team. A member of the company revealed a few hours ago that they were discussing the matter.
However, there are no details of an ETA for a fix just yet. We will update this story as events unfold.
