Halifax is a well-known banking institution that has been operating in British territory for more than a century. So, it is one of the traditional banks in the region.
Halifax bank offers many of the services you would expect from a banking institution. You can access accounts, cards, lines of credit, loans, financing and more.
However, currently many Halifax bank customers are facing an annoying issue where they are receiving many duplicate emails on their accounts.
Halifax bank account holders bombarded with duplicate emails
According to multiple reports, the email addresses of many Halifax account holders are full of duplicate emails coming from the banking institution.
Apparently, there is a glitch in the system that is sending the same message multiple times to users’ emails. This results in an inbox full of Halifax bank emails.
Being emails coming from a banking institution, the email services spam filters do not send these messages to the junk folder.
Some users report that they have even received almost 30 spam emails from the banking institution in just one night.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, the Halifax team is already aware of the problem and looking into it. But, there is no ETA yet for the bank email notification system to return to normal.
We will update this story once new events on the matter emerge in the future.
